We are delighted to announce the appointment of Georgina Littler as the next Chief Executive Officer of the Ridgeway Education Trust, starting in September 2025.

Following a rigorous national selection process from a strong field of candidates, the Board of Trustees appointed Georgina to lead the Trust into the next phase of its development.

Georgina is currently the Headteacher of Didcot Girls' School and she brings with her a wealth of experience in school leadership, a deep understanding of education, and a strong commitment to the values and vision of our Trust. Georgina graduated with a degree in French and German from Nottingham University and completed a PGCE at Oxford University shortly afterwards. After working at international schools in Egypt and the Philippines, teaching at both primary and secondary levels, she returned to the UK and worked at The Cotswold School as Assistant Headteacher before taking on the role of Deputy Headteacher at Tewkesbury School. Georgina has been Headteacher of Didcot Girls' School since 2020 and during this time she has led the school through its second consecutive Outstanding Ofsted inspection and overseen the strongest examination outcomes in the school's history.

Georgina Littler said "I believe passionately that education has the power to affect the life chances of young people for the better, and as CEO, I will continue the Trust's great work of harnessing ambition and opening doors to opportunity for every young person in our care. I want to thank Rachael Warwick for her leadership and unfailing commitment to Ridgeway Education Trust."

Our departing CEO, Rachael Warwick, leaves us after fifteen years working in Didcot, first as Headteacher at Didcot Girls' School and then as the CEO of the Trust, to provide school consultancy support.

Rachael said "I am deeply proud of the progress we have made as a Trust, and I am pleased that Georgina – an outstanding school leader – will be taking the helm. I have learnt a great deal over my career at the trust and feel a great debt of gratitude to the fantastic staff, governors and trustees I have worked with over this time. I look forward to working with Georgina over the coming months as she takes the baton come September."

Ruth Elliot, Chair of Ridgeway Education Trust Board, said "One of the three RET values is 'leading for legacy' and Rachael leaves an irrefutable legacy, leading our trust from strength to strength. As the founder CEO, she was instrumental in creating the trust and growing it to its current size. We wish her all the very best for the future.
