Starting your Teaching Career at SBS

St Birinus is a great school in which to begin and develop your career in teaching. We are committed to making staff feel valued and to provide support for developing their skills so that they can realise their full potential.

"staff are committed to improving their practice and report that they are well supported by both middle and senior leaders"

- Ofsted

We believe that the most important thing that happens in school is good teaching in every classroom, every day. In order to ensure this for each child we invest in the professional development for all staff to enable this to happen.  We provide opportunities to collaborate in professional contexts to improve teaching and learning practice and provide a CPD programme aimed at developing the areas that are most wanted by staff.  We embrace a growth mindset approach to education for both staff and students and look to find the right staff to work in this exciting environment where you will be encouraged and supported to progress in your career aspirations.
