St Birinus has a Vibrant House system which ensures that staff and students work together to create a positive school community where everyone is included. Every student and member of staff belongs to one of the school’s four Houses, Athenian, Corinthian, Spartan or Trojan.  We hold assemblies each term to promote house competitions, share resent results and encourage maximum participation amongst students.

In order to maximize opportunities for pupil involvement in House events, each department is responsible for organising a minimum of one House competition per year 7, 8, 9 and 10 in addition to the whole school events organised by the House team.

House Competitions

Each House works towards the honour of winning the House Cup which is awarded at the end of the school year, in the final whole school assembly, to the House with the highest number of House Points.
