St Birinus School is delighted that Andrew Baker BCAv, former SBS pupil and founder of the local fundraising organisation Play2Give, was awarded a Member of the British Empire (MBE) in the New Year Honours List.

Andrew has worked tirelessly over nearly two decades to raise money for local charities, including children's hospital charities. Play2Give helps to raise awareness and provide support to other charities throughout Oxfordshire, and we are incredibly proud of the work that Andrew and his team does to change lives in the local area.

The SBS School Council recently encouraged students and their families to take part in Play2Give's festive toy appeal, Sleigh2Give, and were delighted with the response. We look forward to continuing our support of Play2Give in the year to come.
