Former SBS student spreads Christmas cheer with support of SBS pupils
Posted on: 17/12/2019St Birinus pupils were delighted to take part again in a Christmas toy collection for children and families across Oxfordshire, organised by a former St Birinus student.
Andrew Baker founded Play2Give in 2007 to raise money and awareness for a host of Oxfordshire charities.
One of Play2Give's annual festive appeals is ‘Sleigh2Give’, which brings the magic of Christmas to children in hospital, young carers and other disadvantaged children and families by teaming up with many local companies, schools, groups, supermarkets, and individuals.
Each year, Sleigh2Give appeals for donations of brand new toys and gifts that can then be delivered to various organisations, including the Oxford Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House (JR) and Be Free Young Carers, before Christmas.
Last year’s Sleigh2Give appeal was the most successful and biggest to date with an estimated 5,000+ donations received. Pictures and more information can be found at www.play2give.org.uk/sleigh2give-2019.html
Thank you to all the St Birinus families who donated such a fantastic array of toys and gifts to the appeal this year - your support is hugely appreciated.
