Climate Change is clearly on all our minds right now.

 

We don't particularly want students to miss school to strike, yet we have enormous sympathy for their cause.

 

At SBS we decided to hold our very own peaceful protest during lunchtime at school. The House Captains and Climate Change Leader Max Beard organised the petition signing along with Mrs Ward and Dr Khan. Student Leaders from Didcot Girls' School joined us for the event.

 

It was very heartening to see students approach us in huge numbers to sign our petition, which we will now send to the local MP. The photograph says it all really. When young people take the lead on something that matters to them, amazing things happen!

 

This served as excellent ground work for our upcoming Climate Change Summit later this year - watch this space!
