Announcement
PSHE Parent Consultation on the new statutory guidance from the Department for Education (DfE)
We are now inviting your comments on PSHE, which incorporates the new statutory guidance.
The DfE statutory guidance states: ‘Parents should be given every opportunity to understand the purpose and content of Relationships Education and RSE. Good communication and opportunities for parents to understand and ask questions about the school’s approach help increase confidence in the curriculum.’
We are therefore:
- Communicating with our parents/carers about PSHE education.
- Highlighting the guidance and giving you the opportunity to comment and feed back on our intended delivery of topics to our students.
- Conducting a Parent Consultation – establishing parents’/carers’ current understanding of RSE, giving opportunities to raise any questions or concerns and highlight any particular needs you feel your child has when learning about RSE or PSHE topics.
- Directing you to the PSHE education curriculum on the school website, which can be found here.
- Directing you to the Statutory Guidance from the DfE as well as their documents for parents/carers.
The Statutory Guidance from the DfE can be found here:
